Tilt-Shift Photography – Cheating with Photoshop

I was reading a cool blog post about Tilt-Shift Photography where you make the content of a photo look tiny like a toy for example. As I get it, to achieve the effect you are supposed to use a few specialist pieces of equipment, but you can achieve a very similar effect using good old photoshop. Essentially to achieve the effect you are just changing the perceived depth of field kind of like macro photography (I think, although don’t quote me on it :)) . You can see a nice tutorial on how to do it here. Below are my attempts ( The “Atrium” one is my personal favourite )
